DELINQUENCY DRUG COURT

Delinquency Drug Court is a six to twelve-month, court-supervised program for nonviolent offenders 13 to 17 years of age who have been arrested and identified as having moderate to severe alcohol and/or drug use. Juveniles are referred to the program through recommendations based on current delinquency charges, prior nonviolent/delinquent history and comprehensive assessments by Miami-Dade County Juvenile Services Department Juvenile Assessment Center, Public Defender’s Office, Regional Counsel, State Attorney’s Office, Juvenile Probation, or court staff. The court is based on the Ten Key Components for Drug Courts best practice approach and the main components are: intensive court supervision, case management, more immediate access to treatment, and a comprehensive system of rewards and sanctions.

Security
All individuals entering the courthouse will need to pass security screening. There are no weapons or hazardous materials allowed in the courthouse. All handheld and carry items will be subject to inspection.
