Additional Instructions:

  • Motion calendars will be conducted in chambers (DCC Room 1111).
  • All motions and hearing notices must be submitted via (1) e-Filing Portal and (2) eCourtesy.  All Motions and notices must be uploaded to eCourtesy at least 7 days before the scheduled hearing.
  • All motions to continue trial or strike trial dates, even if agreed, must be set on calendar.
  • Telephonic appearances are permissible.  To telephonically appear, please submit a proposed order granting telephonic appearance via eCourtesy. Once approved, the party telephonically appearing must call in at the scheduled approved time.
  • All attorneys filing non-dispositive motions, or scheduling and noticing a hearing, MUST certify that he or she has contacted opposing counsel to resolve the issues, state the specific results of the conferral, and state whether the parties have been able to agree.  Anyone noticing motions or hearing who has NOT previously contacted opposing counsel in an effort to resolve the issues will be subject to sanctions.  Every motion/hearing must specifically be certified as set above or the matter will be taken off calendar and not heard.
  • All motions and exhibits must be submitted by eCourtesy.  Submissions in excess of 20 pages must be provided via hard copy to the Court no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled hearing.  
  • Any response to a motion should be delivered to the Court and opposing counsel no later than 48 hours prior to the hearing.
  • Motions to withdraw may be submitted via eCourtesy if a client affidavit is attached. If no client affidavit is available, a hearing is required and the client must be noticed.
