COVID-19 Advisory #26: Self-Monitoring Notice

 

Two individuals who worked at the Joseph Caleb Center, 5400 NW 22 Ave., and the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse Center, 175 NW 1 Ave., respectively, in the locations listed below have tested positive for COVID-19.

Persons identified as having been in close proximity to the confirmed individuals have been notified and asked to take all necessary precautions.

Tuesday, 6/30/2020 (L.E.T. Courthouse Center)

Persons who were in these locations recently should follow self-monitoring steps for the next 14 days as outlined in the Centers for Disease Control website at:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Self-monitoring means people should monitor themselves for fever by taking their temperatures twice a day and remain alert for cough or difficulty breathing. If they feel feverish or develop measured fever, cough, or difficulty breathing during the self-monitoring period, they should self-isolate, limit contact with others, and seek advice by telephone from a healthcare provider or their local health department to determine whether medical evaluation is needed.
