General Magistrate Scott Janowitz Speaks at the St. Thomas University Law School's Peter T. Fay Inn of Court

General Magistrate Scott Janowitz spoke to students, law professors, judges and attorneys last week at the St. Thomas University Law School Peter T. Fay Inn of Court’s first dinner meeting of the year.

GM Janowitz shared his insights on the role of magistrates in the court system.

General magistrates are widely utilized in Florida's trial courts to assist judges in the effective and timely disposition of cases by conducting pretrial proceedings, hearing arguments and evidence, and presenting findings and recommendations to judges.
