The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida joins family members and friends in mourning the loss of Michael Cotter, a most beloved member of our court family. He passed away on Friday, April 4th.
Throughout his 30 years of service to our courts and community, Mike served as bailiff and court specialist to the Honorable Gill Freeman, Gisela Cardonne Ely, Jennifer Bailey and Spencer Multack.
But to all of us here he was also our Mike - always ready to lend a helping hand, always a gentleman, always a consummate professional - representing our court system so very well.
A man of many creative talents, Mike brought warmth and joy to all those around him with his sense of humor and ever-present smile, his engaging presentations to our visiting children, and his passion for history, photography and baking.
His kindness and bright spirit will shine on at the Eleventh, and he will be sorely missed.
