The Honorable Bertila Soto, Chief Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, has been named the 2020 Jurist of the Year by the Florida Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (FLABOTA).
A plaque presented to Chief Judge Soto recognizes her "distinguished legal and judicial career, her longstanding commitment to preserving and improving the jury trial, her promotion of professionalism, civility and ethics, and her tireless and effective advocacy for the independence of the judiciary."
Chief Soto, as well as other honorees, were recognized during FLABOTA's Virtual Awards Presentation and Fall Board Meeting on October 23, 2020.
