Miami-Dade Courts Launch Newly Redesigned Website with Expanded Self-Help Feature

MEDIA ADVISORY

11th Judicial Circuit of Florida

For Immediate Release

The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida is proud to announce the launch of its redesigned website homepage, featuring a brand new Self Help Center designed to assist web visitors in finding information more quickly and easily: www.jud11.flcourts.org.

Based on feedback received from court visitors – both in person and online – the self-help function was redesigned and expanded to use role-based scenarios. For example, litigants involved in Small Claims cases can now receive targeted information based upon their role as Plaintiff or Defendant. To that end, the main page now features a “Need assistance? Start Here” section.

The new website retains popular features from its prior design, such as subject-based sections, drop-down menus, and buttons for frequently accessed content.

The self-help redesign is the result of ongoing collaboration among the court’s division directors, who provided data expertise, the court’s technology department, and the Clerk of Courts, the Eleventh Judicial Circuit’s justice partner.

“We hope the new self-help section provides the public with improved access to the information they need,” said the Honorable Bertila Soto. “As always, we will continue to look for new and innovative ways to improve access to the courts.”

The Eleventh Judicial Circuit welcomes the public to try out the new website and provide feedback via the “Contact Us” feature found at this link: http://www.jud11.flcourts.org/General-Information/Contact-Us.  Once the “Contact us by email” form appears on screen, select “Feedback or Suggestions” from the “Reason for Email” drop-down menu.
