COVID-19 Advisory #60: Jury Trial Suspension Extended through February 28, 2021

The Honorable Bertila Soto, Chief Judge of the Miami-Dade Courts, has extended a temporary suspension of jury trials through February 28, 2021 in order to protect the health and safety of the community and court staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was determined in consideration of current COVID-19 conditions throughout Florida and Miami-Dade County.

Only jury trials are affected by this temporary suspension, which will remain in effect through February 28, 2021.

All other court proceedings shall continue as scheduled, and any jury trials scheduled for March 1, 2021 and beyond need not be re-scheduled.

The Miami-Dade Courts continue to operate under Phase 2 COVID-19 Emergency Operations until further notice.
