Motion Calendar in Division 2 is held in Courtroom (5-3) every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30 A.M.

Motion Calendar Procedures

In order for your matter to be added to the Judge’s Motion Calendar, the notice of hearing and motion(s) MUST:

(1) be filed with the Clerk; and 
(2) courtesy copies, including supporting documents, if any, must be submitted via courtMAP under "Motion Calendar" or the matter will NOT be heard.

Motion Length:  If your Motion is over 15 pages (including exhibits), please deliver a courtesy copy to chambers (in addition to uploading your documents to courtMAP).

Responses:  Parties wishing to submit a response to a matter set on Motion Calendar must be sure to file said response with the clerk and submit it via courtMAP under "Motion Calendar" case number and hearing date, prior to the hearing date. If your Response is over 15 pages (including exhibits),please deliver a courtesy copy to chamber (in addition to uploading your documents to courtMAP).

Foreclosures:  Foreclosure matters submitted for Motion Calendar MUST BE SET on Tuesday and  Wednesday at 10:30am.

Efiling:  Efiling is not the same as courtMAP. Matters that are only efiled WILL NOT automatically upload to the Judge’s Motion Calendar. Efiling is for documents to be filed with the Clerk's Office electronically. CourtMAP is used to submit courtesy copies to chambers electronically.

Telephonic Appearances:  To appear telephonically, contact CourtCall at least two (2) days prior to the hearing at (888) 882-6878.  A court order is not required.

Cancellations:  Counsel for the party who placed a matter on the Motion Calendar shall file the notice of cancellation with the Clerk and fax a notice of cancellation to Division 2 at 305-349-7059 prior to scheduled hearing. 

Making Calendar:  In order to verify if your case made the Calendar: 
    a. Log onto courtMAP;
    b. Select “calendar” on top;
    c. Select “show events by case”;
    d. Enter your case number & hit the magnifying glass; and
Your case hearings will populate

courtMAP is a new online Management and Access Platform built upon technology infrastructure from Broward’s Court Management System.

courtMAP combines eCourtesy with online scheduling, online notification/confirmation, and allows judges to create and e-File orders. courtMAP also allows parties to self-schedule their case events - motion calendar, special sets, and trials - and attach the documentation previously submitted via eCourtesy.
