(5) Minute Motion Calendar is heard on Thursday at
10:30 a.m. in Courtroom 29C. Motions requiring additional time must be special
set by contacting the Judicial Assistant.
To place a case on the (5)
Minute Motion to place a case on the FIVE MINUTE Calendar you must coordinate a date with opposing counsel or party before filing a Notice of Hearing with the Clerks Office. Courtesy Copies of the Motion and the Notice for Hearing MUST also be sent to 11thFC26@jud11.flcourts.org. To place a matter on the Special Set Calendar, you must file the motion electronically
with the Clerk of the Courts through the e-portal and contact the Judicial
Assistant before filing a Notice of Hearing. Proposed hearing dates must be
coordinated with opposing counsel and/or Guardian Ad Litem, if any. When filing
the Motion and Notice of Hearing, please add 11thFC26@jud11.flcourts.org to the
courtesy copy e-mail list to ensure that our office receives a copy.
If self-represented, motions
may be filed through the Self-Help Program or with the Clerk's Office at L.E.T.
Courthouse Center, 175 N.W. 1st Ave., 12th Floor. Courtesy copies must be
submitted to Chambers upon filing the motion and notice of hearing
with 7 days notice.
Cancellations: The party who scheduled the hearing must call to
notify Chambers and file a Notice of Cancellation with the Clerk’s Office
at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled hearing. Please add 11thFC26@jud11.flcourts.org to the courtesy copy e-mail list to ensure that our
office to receives a copy.
Copies: Courtesy copies
of motions exceeding 20 pages must be delivered to Chambers at least 48 hours
in advance of the hearing. Courtesy copies of all other motions should be
provided at the scheduled hearing.
orders may be submitted through eCourtesy with the accompanying motion. Please
DO NOT provide hard copies to Chambers if you have also submitted the proposed
orders through eCourtesy.
Motions to Compel: Motions to Compel must include a representation
that the moving party has communicated with opposing counsel (or pro se party), has made a good faith attempt to resolve the
matter without a hearing and no agreement could be reached.
Motions for Continuance or Extensions of
Time: Must be made in writing and must include a certificate
that the movant's counsel (or pro se party) has consulted opposing counsel (or pro
se party) and that the movant's counsel (or pro se party) is authorized to represent that opposing counsel (or pro se party) either has no objection or
will promptly file an objection.
Motions for Default: Motions for Default must include proof of service,
affidavit of diligent search and non-military information.
Orders: All motions filed by counsel shall include a proposed
order on the motion. Courtesy copies of the proposed order should be brought to
the scheduled hearing.
Appearances: Requests to appear telephonically must be
coordinated with Chambers.
Please do not send pleadings, motions, etc. or
otherwise directly communicate with the Judicial Assistant via e-mail absent a direct
request from the Judicial Assistant. All pleadings must be sent to Chambers via
the e-portal at 11thFC26@jud11.flcourts.org.
