NEW MANDATORY CASE MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES

In compliance with Florida Supreme Court Administrative Order 20-23A12 and the 11th Judicial Circuit Administrative Order 21-09, lawyers and litigants are required to follow the procedures outlined below:

A.   For cases filed BEFORE APRIL 30, 2021, you MUST submit CASE MANAGEMENT REPORT AND ORDER via CourtMAP under Proposed Orders.
Please see the report and order in below under the documents tab.

      Word versions of the Case Management Report and Order are also located below under the DOCUMENTS tab.

B.   DO NOT submit a Case Management Report and Order if:
             1. There is already an EXISTING CASE MANAGEMENT ORDER setting forth all pretrial deadlines.
             2. Your case is already set for trial.
             3. Your case is currently on inactive status by court order.
             4. Your case is subject to current moratoria.
             5. Your case is subject to F.S. 51.011
             6. If your case has been Noticed for Lack of Prosecution Hearing (FWOP) unless it is being attached to  your WRITTEN GOOD CAUSE SHOWING.
             7. Your case is uncontested.

C.   If your case meets any of the exceptions listed above, you must still follow the timeline requirements set forth in the 11th Judicial Circuit Administrative Order 21-09.


D.   If your case was filed ON OR AFTER APRIL 30, 2021, the Court will issue a Case Management Order with prescribed timelines.

ZOOM EVIDENTIARY HEARINGS INCLUDING NON-JURY TRIALS EXHIBITS SUBMISSION:   At least five (5) business days prior to evidentiary hearing or non-jury trial (Civil or Foreclosure), all exhibits should be pre-marked for identification and shall include an index listing all proposed exhibits with the exhibit numbers or letters and filed as evidence submissions via portal. The proposed pre-marked exhibits should clearly list the submitting party. The must be filed individually (one by one) as evidence submission. NOTICE OF FILING IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR CLERK. 


You MUST contact the Judicial Assistant 5 days before the hearing to request a Courtroom Clerk. 

JURY TRIAL EXHIBITS ARE NOT TO BE FILED. ALL JURY TRIALS ARE TO OCCUR IN PERSON.

All Hearings are conducted via zoom platform. ZOOM INVITE will be send 2 to 5 days prior to the hearing.

Please do not call the chambers to obtain hearing dates unless it's time sensitive. Available dates are posted in CourtMap and updated as they become available. You may check daily.

* Motion Calendar is conducted on Tuesday's and Wednesday's at 9:00 A.M.

DO NOT SUBMIT ANY ORDERS PRIOR TO THE HEARING BEING CONDUCTED. 

* Foreclosure Calendar is conducted on Wednesday's at 10:15 A.M. and it is a different entry. All foreclosure cases MUST be placed on said calendar ONLY.

 
* Must give 5 Business Days’ Notice, please do not schedule any hearings less than five days before, except the Foreclosure cases.
* Parties need to and MUST coordinate with one another prior to scheduling.
* Do not request or set a motion that has not been filed.

*Motion Calendar is only for motions that will only take a maximum/total of 5 minutes to hear. Any hearings that will take more than 5 minutes WILL be taken off calendar. 

*Motion's and Supporting Documents MUST be uploaded to CourtMap immediately, otherwise your motion WILL NOT be heard.

ABSOLUTELY NO ADD ON'S PERMITTED.

*When you are setting the objections please file as supporting document as well the Motion you are objecting to. Up to two objections ONLY can be set on the motion calendar, if you have more than two you MUST place it on special set. The same applies to the Motions to Compel Better Answers. Any Motion that will take more than 5 minutes WILL be taken off the calendar by the Judge.

* Motion's to Dismiss Complaint must have the Complaint attached as supporting document.

*You may set the maximum of two motions per calendar with two separate entry's.

 *In addition to filing motion with the clerk, you must submit Motion and Notice

  through CourtMap; A motion will not be heard: 
  If these items are not submitted. (Do not hand deliver to chambers please)
*Refrain from submitting Binders to Chambers (unless directed by the Court);

MOTIONS TO CANCEL FORECLOSURE SALES:

All motions and notice of hearings (ONLY FOR MOTIONS TO CANCEL FORECLOSURE SALES) must be e-filed at least 3 business days before the scheduled hearing.  There are no emergencies.  Please do not wait until the last minute as you have known well in advance of the impending sale date. Plaintiff may submit an Order via CourtMap.

courtMAP is a new online Management and Access Platform built upon technology infrastructure from Broward’s Court Management System.

courtMAP combines eCourtesy with online scheduling, online notification/confirmation, and allows judges to create and e-File orders. courtMAP also allows parties to self-schedule their case events - motion calendar, special sets, and trials - and attach the documentation previously submitted via eCourtesy.
