ALL MOTION CALENDAR hearings will be heard through ZOOM

Please include in the Notice of Hearing for Pro Se Litigants the following: (Hearing to take place via zoom software - instructions to attend via zoom can be obtained
by emailing the judge's judicial assistant at (Hnguyen@jud11.flcourts.org )

Motion calendar hearings are limited to 5 – 10 minutes per case.   

To set a motion calendar hearing, select the date from the Court's availability (found on courtMAP). Four cases to each group.

FRUSTRATED LAWYER/PRO-SE RULE
Should anyone become frustrated in their attempt to get an agreed time, date and duration for any kind of hearing, deposition or other event from opposing party or pro-se if any, a hearing may be held as early as 7am, or as such time the parties and pro-se's if any, agree.  Please email Barbara Gener, the Court's Judicial Assistant at Bgener@jud11.flcourts.org - to notice the hearing and a open a date on  CourtMap if necessary.  All interested parties shall have their calendar available for the hearing so the Court can schedule the matter(s) which the frustrated party is trying to set.  Attorney's fees may be available if the Court finds any party to have failed to cooperate in good faith with the setting of the subject hearing.

MOTIONS FOR REHEARING PLEASE SEND THROUGH COURTMAP UNDER THE EMERGENCY SLOT FOR JUDGE TO REVIEW

Submit your supporting documents (filed motion, etc.) when creating the event (setting the hearing) on courtMAP.  DO NOT create multiple events (set multiple hearings) on any one case; the system allows for two (2) motions to be set on each case.  

Once a green "Success" message appears, the hearing has made calendar.  

IMPORTANT: Although the movant and the parties listed on the service list will receive an email indicating that a hearing has been set, a notice of hearing will not automatically generate.  The movant MUST e-file the notice of hearing via the e-portal system.  

To confirm a hearing, click on the "docket" tab on the navigation bar and select the event date (the hearing date); the scheduled hearing will appear.  

**The Court will not hear more than two (2) motions per case per motion calendar.** 

To cancel a motion calendar hearing:

Just email all counsel and court reporter (s) that hearing has been cancelled and also cancel it on CourtMap.

THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS MUST ALWAYS BE SET FOR HEARING EVEN IF AGREED TO:
1. MOTIONS TO RESCHEDULE FORECLOSURE SALES
2. MOTIONS TO CONTINUE TRIAL OR STRIKE TRIAL DATES, (Motions for continuance must indicate whether it is the first request for continuance. If it is not, the number and date of prior continuance(s) must be included in the motion.)
3. MOTIONS TO COMPEL MEDIATION
4. MOTIONS TO CANCEL SALE (Must include number of previous cancellations)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  5. MOTIONS FOR WRIT OF POSSESSION
