JA's email is (Copy to all parties required) - DO NOT SEND HEARING MATERIALS OR PROPOSED ORDERS!

Coronavirus/COVID-19: Courthouses remain closed for in-person hearings and trials based on public health advisories at the direction of the Florida Supreme Court. All hearings are being held thru Zoom. For the latest advisories, including Administrative Orders, please visit

Before submitting an order to the court for approval, preview the order and make sure that the judge’s signature is not alone on a page. You can reduce the font or number of lines to accomplish this. This avoids the need for the judge to reformat every order. If the order is “Agreed” or “Unopposed” submit it under “Agreed Orders,” not “Proposed Orders,” you will receive a quicker response. Thank you.

     1. We are scheduling special sets and motions for motion calendars as usual. Please submit requests via CourtMAP.
     2. Evidentiary hearings can be scheduled but require preparation. They will be considered on a case by case basis. After submitting your CourtMAP request, please call chambers and request a status conference.
     3. Special sets will be conducted via Zoom. The day prior to the hearing, you will receive an email via CourtMAP containing a Zoom invitation link. Please upload the documents for the judge’s review 7 days prior to the hearing.  DO NOT EMAIL THE JA THESE DOCUMENTS.  To upload the documents: in Courtmap, go to “Calendar” tab, then “View Events” and click on “Events\Supporting Documents\Add.” Doing this IS NOT the same as uploading the documents to the “Progress Docket” which then appears in "Case Events.”  EACH PARTY SHOULD UPLOAD THEIR PROPOSED ORDER TO “SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS” PRIOR TO THE HEARING.

FWOPS & CMC’S (Case Management Conferences)
Will go forward as usual. The judge will review Motions for Good Cause prior to the hearing. If you would like to submit documents for use during the hearing, follow the procedure set out under Special Sets above.

Jury trials are cancelled until further notice. Non-jury trials (other than foreclosures) will be decided on a case by case basis.  Therefore, calendar calls for NON-JURY, NON-FORECLOSURE CASES will go forward.  PLEASE NOTIFY THE JA PRIOR TO THE CALENDAR CALL, IF THERE IS A DISPUTE REGARDING WHETHER A TRIAL IS JURY OR NON-JURY.

     1. All foreclosure sale dates have been cancelled until further notice.
     2. All foreclosure trials have been cancelled through August 1, 2020.

MOTIONS FOR JUDICIAL DISQUALIFICATION: must be uploaded as an Emergency on CourtMAP.

courtMAP is a new online Management and Access Platform built upon technology infrastructure from Broward’s Court Management System.

courtMAP combines eCourtesy with online scheduling, online notification/confirmation, and allows judges to create and e-File orders. courtMAP also allows parties to self-schedule their case events - motion calendar, special sets, and trials - and attach the documentation previously submitted via eCourtesy.
