The Circuit Criminal Division will provide access to court both in person and via Zoom in a hybrid fashion for all daily calendars. Daily in-person calendar will begin at 9 am. Daily ZOOM virtual calendar will begin at about 9:30 am. Pleas (whether in-person or virtual) will usually be taken towards the end of the calendar, so as to allow other, quicker matters to be handled beforehand. The following must take place in person unless the parties and the judge agree to proceed on Zoom and the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure and the Florida Supreme Court’s Administrative Order allow: (1) evidentiary hearings and (2) bench and jury trials. Most pleas for in-custody defendants will take place virtually. At the discretion of the division judge, all other matters may be conducted via Zoom at the preference of the parties. Anyone who wishes to be in the courtroom on a laptop or device to see Zoom MUST have their device’s microphone and the Zoom audio muted at all times regardless of whether or not they are speaking. The courtroom microphones which are connected to Zoom will pick up the audio. If the device and/or Zoom audio on an individual device is on, this will result in echo and feedback. You may call chambers and speak with Gisselle Gomez, the Judicial Assistant, for guidance or questions during regular business hours at 305-548-5728 Division 14’s virtual ZOOM ID: https://zoom.us/s/97781720114 JOIN BY PHONE DIAL US: +1786 635 1003 MEETING ID: 977-8172-0114
