Coronavirus/COVID-19: Courthouses are closed for most in-person hearings and trials based on public health advisories at the direction of the Florida Supreme Court. The Eleventh Judicial Circuit wants you safe at home. In order to this, the Eleventh Judicial Circuit has been establishing Virtual Courtrooms. Court hearings will be held remotely through the Zoom platform. The Zoom platform is free to use. You will be receiving an email from the Court regarding your remote hearing with the information you need to connect to the Virtual Courtroom. In order to participate remotely and/or by video for your hearing, you must click on the weblink you received in the email invitation at the time your hearing is scheduled or call the phone listed in the invitation to participate by phone. You do not need to download anything or set up an account with the Zoom platform in order to participate in the Virtual Courtroom.
Video appearance is required for any participant whose testimony is necessary, so that Judge Marrero can administer the oath.
If you do not receive a Zoom invitation to participate in your remote hearing, please contact your attorney and/or Judge Marrero's Judicial Assistant, Sarah Al-Sheraidi, at (305) 679-1742.
