Coronavirus/COVID-19: Courthouses are closed for in-person hearings and trials based on public health advisories at the direction of the Florida Supreme Court. The Eleventh Judicial Circuit wants you safe at home
We are establishing Virtual Courtrooms. Court hearings in your case that we can hold remotely via video or phone conference will be held on the Zoom platform, which is free to you. You will receive an email from the Court if we are proceeding with your hearing with the information you need to connect. To participate by video, you must click on the weblink you received in the email invitation at the time your hearing is scheduled or call the phone listed in the invitation to participate by phone. You do not need to download anything or set up an account in order for you to participate in a zoom hearing.
Video appearance is required for any participant whose testimony is necessary so the judge can administer the oath.
Please wait until a day before your scheduled hearing for the court to send you an email containing a Zoom link for instructions. If you resolve your matter, please cancel in CourtMAP or if you do not have access to CourtMAP, by calling the judge's judicial assistant.
Agreed Orders to Transfer may be emailed to the ja at email@example.com (must include motion and order)
Notice Before Hearing:
7 Business Days
Files at Hearing:
The Administrative Transfer Calendar is heard by Judge Jennifer D. Bailey at 9:15 a.m. every Tuesday, Room 635, Dade County Courthouse. The original Motion to Transfer and Notice of Hearing should be submitted via efile with the clerk to appear on the docket as part of your court file. In addition, in order to insure your motion to be heard on Judge Bailey's calendar, you must schedule and upload all documents through courtMAP ONLY.
If the notice and motion are not received via courtMAP, your motion will not be heard. FOLLOW the same procedures for Agreed Motions to Transfer, a proposed order, and a cover letter through courtMAP. You will be advised if the court approved the transfer or if a hearing is necessary. All submissions received by mail and email will be rejected and your case will not be calendared. For further information, questions or calendar confirmation call Judge Bailey's judicial assistant Maria E. Prieto at (305)349-7152.
