HOW TO SET A MOTION CALENDAR HEARING:
1) Select a Tuesday or Thursday that is not listed on the Cancellation/Full dates list above. Please limit your motions to 5 motions per calendar date, per Law Firm. Motion calendar days are Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30, 9:45, 10:00, 10:15 or 10:30am.
a.) All motion calendar hearings, including add-ons/cross-notices Must be coordinated with opposing counsel by following steps 1-4 to ensure that they are properly set and within the Court's CAP.
2) Submit NOH via the eCourtesy
Motion Calendar Section (this is simply a request for your hearing to be set).
a.) Notate the name of the person
that the hearing was coordinated with under the title heading “Notice of
Hearing.”If the other party is pro se, notate “Defendant/Plaintiff is pro
se” (no coordination is necessary).
3) TO CONFIRM SETTING OF A MOTION CALENDAR HEARING: Check the Docket within 24-48 hours of NOH submission. See Datecolumn: date of hearing; Docket Entry: 5Minute Motion Calendar; Event Type column: Hearing and; Comments column: notates the name of motion set… Also, see Hearing Details for the Hearing Time and Date… This is confirmation that your hearing has been set by JA. (*Note: time that hearing will be set for may be different than the time on your “requested” NOH due to unavailability).
4) Do not eFile/ePortal your NOH until after it reflects on the docket that the hearing has been set.
NOTE: eFiling your NOH Only, does not confirm that your hearing has made calendar.
If the calendar date CAP has been reached, you will receive a notice from the eCourtesy system that your motion(s) did not make calendar.
