The Honorable Angelica Zayas, Circuit Court Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Juvenile Division, received the In the Company of Women - Outstanding Woman in Government & Law Award for her service, leadership and contribution to women. This award was presented during the 29th Annual In the Company of Women Awards Presentation and Reception on March 8, 2017.

Judge Zayas also received the Women of Impact Award for her professional accomplishments. This award was presented during a Women's History Month celebration on March 12, 2017.

The In the Company of Women Awards are presented each year during Women's History Month by the Miami-Dade County Commission for Women, the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade, and the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. The program is meant to support parks and parks programming, particularly initiatives that foster leadership skills and creativity in young women.

The Women of Impact Awards are presented by the Women's History Coalition during Women's History Month in honor of trailblazing women in labor and business.
