Beyond the Bench: Miami-Dade Judges Serve on Election Canvassing Board

Judges help their community even when they’re not wearing the black robe. As they do every election season, Miami-Dade Courts judges worked alongside everyday citizens on the Miami-Dade Elections Department Canvassing Board for more than 45 hours, in addition to their regular work schedules, leading up to the Nov. 8 election. The Canvassing Board oversees the election process in meetings that are open to the public. Their service will continue through the end of November until their work is done.
