#CelebratingWomen: Chief Judge Nushin G. Sayfie participates in Miami-Dade County's street naming ceremony honoring the first Black woman in the US Supreme Court, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson

This past March 6, 2023, our Chief Judge Nushin G. Sayfie was honored to participate in Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins' Street Naming Ceremony for US Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Miami’s own Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has been recognized for breaking barriers within the judicial sector. She is the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court and the first federal public defender to do so.
