Ms. Olanike Adebayo, Esq. Appointed General Magistrate for the Probate Division

The Honorable Nushin G. Sayfie, Chief Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, has appointed Ms. Olanike Adebayo, Esq., as General Magistrate for the Probate Division, effective August 1, 2022.

Prior to being appointed as Magistrate, Ms. Adebayo served for nearly a decade as an Assistant Regional Counsel in the Dependency Division of Florida's Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, Third Region -- but her career in public service started long before.

Ms. Adebayo joined the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office in 1997 as an Assistant State Attorney and rose through the ranks to eventually become Chief of Litigation for the Juvenile Division. In 2005, she joined the Miami-Dade Police Department's Legal Bureau as a Police Legal Advisor, where she taught courses in child custody disputes, juvenile procedures, domestic violence, and other areas of law to law enforcement personnel and local citizens at the Metropolitan Police Institute.

She received her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1997 and was admitted to practice law in the State of Florida that same year.

Above and beyond her service as Magistrate for the Miami-Dade Courts, Ms. Adebayo contributes her time to the legal community as a former board member for Legal Services of Greater Miami. She is also involved with Women of Tomorrow, 5000 Role Models, Teen Court, and the Women's Breast and Heart Initiative.
