Congratulations to the Honorable Michelle Alvarez Barakat on her appointment as Administrative Judge of the Unified Family Court Division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.

Judge Alvarez Barakat has served on the bench since 2013, where she has presided in the Dependency Division for the past seven years. She brings extensive experience in problem‑solving courts, having presided over the Dependency Drug Court.

In addition, she is a member of the Florida Judicial College faculty, where she teaches on shelter and detention hearings.
