The Honorable Nushin Sayfie Receives Transition, Inc. Community Service Award

May 17, 2017

The Honorable Nushin Sayfie, Administrative Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Criminal Division, received the Maxine Cohen-Lando Community Service Award from Transition, Inc. during the organization's Transition Heroes Reception on May 17, 2017. Judge Sayfie was honored for her leadership on the bench and support for Transition.

Also in attendance at the Transition Heroes Reception were several of Judge Sayfie's fellow judges of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.

Transition, Inc. helps ex-offenders become self-sufficient, law abiding citizens by providing treatment, housing, and job placement services to individuals released from prison or jail in South Florida, with the goal of reducing crime and recidivism in the community.

The award was named for the late Judge Maxine Cohen-Lando of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.
