The Honorable Marisa Tinkler Mendez and the Honorable Alberto Milian, Circuit Court judges in the Miami-Dade Courts’ Criminal Division, were among those who received the 2022 Florida Patriot Awards during the Second Annual celebration of this award this past Nov. 21st.
The Awards, presented by the Broward Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, and other local bar organizations, recognize distinguished service by veteran leaders in the legal community.
The Florida Patriot Distinguished Service to Veterans Award for non-veterans went to Judge Tinkler Mendez, who presides over the Miami-Dade Veterans Court.
Judge Milian received the Florida Patriot Award for his leadership as a veteran in the legal community.
