Miami-Dade County, the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit held a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 8, 2016, to mark the opening of the Miami-Dade Courts' first lactation room at the Dade County Courthouse.
Lactation rooms are also now open at the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse Center and the Miami-Dade County Children's Courthouse. Opening soon will be a lactation room at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building, followed by branch courthouses in the coming months.
