Highlights from The 2025 Wall of Honor Ceremony.

This year's Wall of Honor recognition went to the late Gertrude “Trudy” Petkovich of CITRUS Family Care Network. Being selected for the Wall of Honor at the Miami-Dade Children’s Courthouse recognizes that person’s commitment and many contributions toward the improvement of the Child Welfare or Juvenile Justice System in Miami-Dade County. Ms. Petkovich’s daughter, Deborah Petkovich, and her sister Molly, accepted the recognition in her honor.

This year’s John Balikes Professionalism Award went to Rita Ugarte, Esq. of the Unified Children’s Court Division. This award recognizes attorneys who demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism in the practice of law.
