The Honorable Jennifer D. Bailey, Administrative Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit's Civil Division, has been selected to join the 24-member Board of Directors of the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), a national and global leader in helping courts improve the administration of justice.
The Miami-Dade Juvenile Drug Court and Adult Drug Court judges and staff recently hosted a delegation of 65 judges, attorneys, probation officers, psychiatrists, and other treatment staff from Mexico, who visited the Miami-Dade Courts to observe Drug Court hearings and learn how Drug Court is staffed. The purpose of the visit was to exchange information on best practices and help bridge the gap between theory and practice.
The Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers presented the Honorable Scott Bernstein with the 2016 Theodore Klein Award for his lifelong dedication in support of women's issues.
During a special ceremony held on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, the Honorable Bertila Soto, Chief Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, accompanied by her colleagues, the Circuit and County Court judges of Miami-Dade, paid tribute to the retiring judges of the Miami-Dade Courts for their service to the people of Miami-Dade County.
