Miami-Dade Courts Welcome Mandela Washington Institute Fellows

The Honorable Marisa Tinkler Mendez, Associate Administrative Judge of the Criminal Division, welcomed a delegation of professionals from various nations in Africa to the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building on July 20, 2017.

The group of attorneys, doctors, business professionals, educators and elected officials visited the Miami-Dade Courts as part of their participation in the Mandela Washington Fellowship, a U.S. government program for emerging leaders. The visit was arranged by Florida International University in conjunction with the Mandela Washington Fellowship, in order for the Fellows to learn about the U.S. justice system.
