The Honorable Miguel M. de la O Receives Transition, Inc. Community Service Award

The Honorable Miguel M. de la O, Circuit Civil Division Judge and Administrative Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit's Appellate Division, received the Maxine Cohen-Lando Community Service Award from Transition, Inc. during the organization's Transition Heroes Reception on May 23, 2018. Judge de la O was honored for his leadership on the bench and support for Transition.

Transition, Inc. helps ex-offenders become self-sufficient, law abiding citizens by providing treatment, housing, and job placement services to individuals released from prison or jail in South Florida, with the goal of reducing crime and recidivism in the community.

The award was named for the late Judge Maxine Cohen-Lando of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.
