The Honorable Carroll J. Kelly, administrative judge of the Miami-Dade Courts' Domestic Violence Division, received the 2017 Chief Justice Award for Judicial Excellence. Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Jorge Labarga presented the award to Judge Kelly on July 11, 2017, at the Conference of County Court Judges of Florida.

The Honorable Nushin Sayfie, Administrative Judge of the Miami-Dade Courts' Criminal Division, and the Honorable Marisa Tinkler Mendez, Associate Administrative Judge of the Criminal Division, welcomed a delegation of Chinese attorneys to the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building on June 27, 2017.

The Honorable Bertila Soto, Chief Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, received the Judge Rosemary Barkett Women of Distinction Judiciary Award presented by the Dade County Bar Association during their Women of Distinction Gala held on June 21, 2017.

The judges of the Miami-Dade Courts' Juvenile Division and their justice partners gathered at the Miami-Dade County Children's Courthouse on June 8th to celebrate Wall of Honor 2017, in recognition of those individuals who have made significant contributions to children in the juvenile justice and child welfare system.
