Miami-Dade County Commissioners Vote Unanimously in Favor of a Resolution to Solicit Expressions...

The Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, May 16, unanimously voted in favor of a resolution directing the Mayor or the Mayor's designee to solicit interest from developers, financiers, real estate investment companies, contractors, builders and others to design, build, finance, operate and/or maintain a new county civil courthouse.

In Memoriam: Retired Judge Ronald Friedman

       In Memory of Retired Judge Ronald Friedman

The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida joins family members and friends in mourning the passing of Retired Judge Ronald Friedman on September 26, 2023.

Judge Friedman obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He was elected to the Miami-Dade Circuit Court in 1984, where he served for nearly 30 years until his retirement in 2010. After retiring, Judge Friedman served for 12 more years as a mediator and arbitrator.

In 2020, he received the  Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award as a leader in the legal field.

Beyond his service on the Bench, Judge Friedman made contributions to his community, serving on numerous boards of charitable, service and legal organizations.

Services
The funeral service for Judge Friedman will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel at Mt. Nebo (5900 SW 77 Ave., Miami).
