During a special ceremony held on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, the Honorable Bertila Soto, Chief Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, accompanied by her colleagues, the Circuit and County Court judges of Miami-Dade, paid tribute to the retiring judges of the Miami-Dade Courts for their service to the people of Miami-Dade County.

Chief Judge Ariana Fajardo Orshan Helps Celebrate New Drivers License Office at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building

Our Chief Judge Ariana Fajardo Orshan joined Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez and Clerk of the Court and Comptroller Juan Fernandez-Barquin this morning to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for a new driver’s license office at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building.

The new office allows persons who are in court to resolve suspended license issues to be able to walk over and obtain their newly reinstated licenses right at the courthouse - no additional trips needed.

The office also provides other services for the public such as property tax payments, motor vehicle registrations, specialty parking permits and more.

 

Also in attendance today:

Deputy Chief Judge Ivonne Cuesta, Administrative Judge of the County Criminal Division Kristy Nuñez, Miami-Dade Public Defender Carlos Martinez and other elected officials
