The Honorable Carroll J. Kelly, administrative judge of the Miami-Dade Courts' Domestic Violence Division, received the 2017 Chief Justice Award for Judicial Excellence. Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Jorge Labarga presented the award to Judge Kelly on July 11, 2017, at the Conference of County Court Judges of Florida.
The Chief Justice Awards for Judicial Excellence, established by the Florida Supreme Court in 2014 and bestowed annually, recognize one county court judge and one circuit judge who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the judicial branch and who personify judicial excellence.
