Drug Court

In effort to help curve the inherent drug problem and the incarceration of people with drug related arrests, the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida created Drug Court. Drug Court is divided into three divisions (Adult, Dependency, and Delinquency Drug Court) with the purpose of treating each division with special attention needed to better serve the community. Adult Drug Court

Drug Court was created to help curb the inherent drug problem and incarceration of people with drug related arrests in Miami Dade County.

Dependency Treatment Court

Dependency Treatment Court was established in response to addressing underlying substance use disorder issues which often coexist with parents involved in Dependency Court. The goal of Dependency Treatment Court is to help parents live a drug-free life by providing participants with the necessary evidence-based treatment, recovery tools, and targeted services, which will enable them to assume the full responsibilities of parenthood by achieving reunification with their child(ren).

Juvenile Drug Treatment Court

Juvenile Drug Treatment Court was established in response to addressing nonviolent Juvenile Delinquency arrests for youth with substance use disorders who come into contact with the juvenile justice system. The goal of Juvenile Drug Treatment Court is to reduce juvenile re-arrest rates by providing participants with the necessary evidence-based treatment, recovery tools, and community support to successfully live drug-free, productive lives.
