Miami-Dade County Law Library Updated Hours & Services

The Miami-Dade County Law Library currently offers walk-in and by-appointment-only hours and services as listed below.

 

LAW LIBRARY HOURS

Walk-In Hours:

Wednesdays, 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM

 

By Appointment Only:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Send an email request to refdesk@mdcll.org to make an appointment.

 

LAW LIBRARY SERVICES

Volunteer Attorney Service - Lawyer in the Library Wednesdays:

A volunteer attorney is available at the Law Library to answer general legal questions, at no cost, on Wednesdays from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

This free service is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who wish to meet with the volunteer attorney should email the Law Library at refdesk@mdcll.org at 7:00 AM on the Wednesday of their planned visit to confirm attorney availability.

 

Legal Forms for Self-Represented Litigants:

Self-represented litigants who wish to purchase legal forms may visit the Law Library during walk-in hours on Wednesdays from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM. Email refdesk@mdcll.org to make an appointment on a different day, or to request forms via a mail order service.

 

Legal Research:

Those who wish to conduct legal research using Law Library books or by accessing Westlaw and LexisNexis on a Law Library computer should request an appointment by emailing refdesk@mdcll.org.

 

Conference Room Rentals:

Conference rooms on the 20th floor of the Dade County Courthouse are available for rental. Contact refdesk@mdcll.org for more information.

 

CLE (Continuing Legal Education) Materials:

Those who wish to access CLE materials should email refdesk@mdcll.org for information on availability and costs.
