    Please remember that all 5 minute motions must take only (5) five minutes.  All motions must be filed and docketed before setting on the Judge’s calendar

    Motion Calendar is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays (9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.)

    Setting parties must contact opposing counsel first and coordinate four to five dates before calling Judge Johnson's Chambers to coordinate all hearings.  Please make sure Plaintiff & Defendant’s offices do not exceed (3) three cases and (2) two motions each case per day. No additional motions beyond what is originally set may be heard.

    Our hours to call and schedule hearings are as follows:

    Monday thru Friday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

    All hearings are held in courtroom 612 at the Miami Dade Courthouse.

    If you need to cancel a hearing, please fax a cancellation notice to (305) 349-7293. You can only cancel a hearing if you are the setting party or by agreement.

    If you need to request a continuance on a Trial, please call the Judge’s Chambers.

    Please call the Judge's chambers to cancel a hearing and fax in your cancellation notice also the hearing must be cancelled by the party who set the motion.  If an agreed order is reached the same day of your hearing, you must submit the same to judge's chambers by 1:30 p.m. in order to waive counsel's appearance.

    e-Courtesy Submissions:

    1. All Orders must be in Microsoft Word format.   If it is an Agreed Order, submit through the Agreed Orders tab.
    2. The following are not accepted through eCourtesy:
    • Orders to Show Cause
    • Continuing writs of garnishment
    • Notices /Orders to set case for trials
