Probate Professional Guardian Registry
The 11th Judicial Circuit maintains a registry of professional guardians (the Registry) who practice in
Miami-Dade County and are qualified to receive court appointments. When a judge needs to appoint a
professional
guardian for a ward, and it is not possible or would not be in the best interest of the ward to appoint one
chosen by the parties, a professional guardian is selected on a rotating basis from this Registry.
Bylaws: This is the
governing document for the Registry. This
document also describes the application process as well as procedures for investigating and resolving
complaints.
Application process:
Applications from professional guardians seeking appointment to the Registry will be accepted and reviewed
only during the annual open enrollment period, which runs from January 1st through January
31st each year.
Completed applications should be submitted to probateregistryapp@jud11.flcourts.org. Questions
regarding the
application itself, the screening process or the registry in general may also be directed to
probateregistryapp@jud11.flcourts.org.
