Appellate Division
The Appellate Division hears appeals from the county court and from various quasi-judicial boards and administrative agencies. Appeals from the county court are heard by panels of three circuit court judges. County court judges may sit in an appellate capacity over matters decided by quasi-judicial boards and administrative agencies. Appellate hearings take place in three different locations: at the Dade County Courthouse, 73 West Flagler Street, Miami FL 33130; at the Childrens’ Courthouse 155 NW 3 Street, Miami, FL 33128; and at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building, 1351 N.W. 12 St., Miami FL 33125. Appellate pleadings should be filed with the Appellate Clerk’s Office, 22 N.W. 1st Street, Room 301, Miami, FL 33128.
