MOTION MUST TAKE ONLY 5 MINUTES OF HEARING TIME

  1. All motions and notices of hearing must be uploaded to the eFiling System no later than five (5) business days before the scheduled hearing. The Court does not send the zoom ID to the to the parties unless they are unrepresented by legal counsel.
  2. Setting parties must notify all parties of interest and confirm their attendance. Also zoom instructions must be sent by the setting party. 
  3. Notices of cancellation shall be email to the Judicial Assistant-Maria Matos- at: mmatos@jud11.flcourts.org and the Bailiff-Claude Louis- at: clouis@jud11.flcourts.org prior to the scheduled hearing or trial. Counsel shall also call the JA at (305) 354-8773 to confirm the cancellation.

  5.  Counsel must call the chambers regarding all motions to continue trial or strike trial dates even if agreed. The judge will review the motion  and the JA will notify counsel of the Court’s determination.

2.      SETTING PARTIES MUST NOTIFY ALL PARTIES OF INTEREST OF THE SPECIAL SET HEARING AND CONFIRM THEIR ATTENDANCE. ALSO ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE SENT BY THE SETTING PARTY.  

DISPOSITIVE MOTIONS SUCH AS MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT AND MOTION TO DISMISS AND OTHER MOTIONS WHERE LEGAL AUTHORITIES WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE COURT INSTRUCTIONS:

IN MATTERS LISTED ABOVE, WHERE THE PARTIES INTEND TO PRESENT TO THE COURT MEMORANDA, LEGAL AUTHORITIES, DISCOVERY OR OTHER MATERIALS IN SUPPORT OF OR IN OPPOSITION TO THE MOTION, THOSE MATERIALS, ALONG WITH THE MOTIONS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN HARD COPY TO THE COURT AT LEAST 2 WEEKS   PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED HEARING. THIS INCLUDES COPIES OF THE CASES, NOT JUST CITATIONS. PLEASE SEND THE MATERIALS VIA USPS, FEDEX OR UPS TO THE NORTH DADE JUSTICE CENTER, ATTENTION: JUDGE STEIN.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT THE JUDGE'S CHAMBERS WHEN THE ABOVE HAS BEEN DROPPED OFF TO CONFIRM THAT IT WAS RECEIVED BY THE JUDGE. 

 In matters listed above, where the parties intend to present to the Court - Memoranda, Legal Authorities, Discovery or other materials in support of or in opposition to the motion, those materials, along with the Motions shall be submitted in hard copy to the Court at least 2 Weeks prior to the scheduled hearing.  Please send the materials via USPS, FEDEX or UPS to the North Dade Justice Center, Attention: Judge Stein.
