**ALL MOTIONS/PETITIONS NEED PROOF OF FILING and NOTICE OF APPEARANCE FROM COUNSEL BEFORE CONTACTING CHAMBERS.
The Overtown Transit Village South Courthouse is closed for in-person hearings.
Our division remains open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM except for legal holidays. The General Magistrate/Hearing Officer and his/her staff are working remotely and are available to assist you. We can address most matters remotely via phone conferences and ZOOM.
If a hearing is needed on your case on a filed motion or petition, you should schedule it by contacting our office either by phone at (786) 469-3960 or by email at 11thfcgm46@jud11.flcourts.org. All cases will be coordinated with either the State Attorney's Office or any other party involved.
A hearing in your case will then be held remotely via the ZOOM platform. Please, download on your computer or phone the zoom application that is a FREE service to you. You will receive an email from the Court with the information you need to connect to the virtual hearing. You must provide a valid and current email address so that we can email you the invitation link. To participate by video, you must click on the weblink you receive in the email invitation. ZOOM has free training on its website.
To appear through Zoom, the attorney, litigant or witness must have a computer, laptop, cell phone or tablet with a camera. All Zoom hearings will need to be held in a quiet setting without any interruptions so that the only person to be heard is the attorney, litigant or witness. This includes electronic devices.
Any evidence which is sought to be admitted must be sent to the other party or counsel and to the General Magistrates office via email to 11thfcgm46@jud11.flcourts.org at least 48 hours prior to the hearing.
ALL ATTORNEYS AND SELF-REPRESENTED LITIGANTS MUST SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT AT FLORIDA COURTS E-FILING PORTAL to file all motions, petitions or exhibits at https://www.myflcourtaccess.com.
Self-represented litigants can also find help at https://www.jud11.flcourts.org/Family-Court-Self-Help-Program.
MOTION FOR CONTINUANCE: all motions shall be in writing and must be made at least three (3) days prior to the hearing. Motions may be sent to chambers via email to 11thfcgm46@jud11.flcourts.org, fax (786) 469-3963, delivered to chambers at 601 NW 1st Court, 2nd floor, Room 2-108A, Miami, FL 33136 or mailed to the same address.
