MOTION CALENDAR:
*Motion Calendar is 5 minutes only, and it's conducted on Monday's and Tuesday's at 9:30 A.M. Any hearings that will take more than 5 minutes may be taken off calendar.
*All Motion Calendar hearings are conducted in person only.
*When Notice of Cancellation is filed there is no need to contact the chambers to advise of cancellation, please cancel your motion via CourtMap.
*You must give 5 Business Days’ Notice, please do not schedule any hearings less than five days before.
*Parties must coordinate with one another prior to scheduling. If unable to coordinate for more than a full week you may unilaterally schedule the hearing and Notice of Hearing MUST say that the hearing was unilaterally scheduled.
**Motion's and Supporting Documents MUST be e-filed with the clerk and uploaded to CourtMap upon scheduling, otherwise your motion WILL NOT be heard.
DO NOT SUBMIT ANY ORDERS PRIOR TO THE HEARING BEING CONDUCTED UNLESS IT'S AN AGREED ORDER.
SMALL CLAIMS PRE-TRIALS: ARE IN PERSON
SPECIAL SET:
*Special Set are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday unless there is a holiday within the week.
*Add On's to already scheduled hearings are NOT permitted. Matters already set cannot be Amended since courtmap will not create an updated Notice of Hearing.
*The moving party MUST coordinate the date/time with opposing counsel based on the Court's availability (found on Court Map). If opposing party is pro-se please provide adequate time for scheduling. The moving party shall submit a copy of the filed motion via Court Map when selecting the proposed hearing date. (a notice of hearing DOES NOT need to be accompany by submission).
* All Special Set hearings are conducted in person only.
*If motion requires longer than an hour, please email the JA (asampedro@jud11.flcourts.org) for dates.
*Motions or Supporting documents are longer than 20 pages, please forward a Binder to Chambers no later than a week prior to the hearing.
*When cancelling a hearing please email your notice of cancellation to chamber (you can only cancel your own setting) with inclusion of oc in the email as well. Once chamber's is in receipt of said email, the hearing will be canceled. Cancellations must be done the day before by 5:00 p.m. prior to the hearing date and time, no cancellation will be accepted the day of, and hearing will go forward.
* If unable to coordinate for more than a full week you may unilaterally schedule the hearing and must have proof of attempts.
Trial Calendar Setting:
Please be aware that certain items are prohibited on courthouse premises. If any listed prohibited item is detected to be in your possession when entering a court facility, you will be asked to exit the facility to secure the item elsewhere or dispose of it, before being allowed entry into the facility.
