5-Minute Motion Calendar:  Conducted via conference call (862-799-9769).  You may receive correspondence from the JA with a time at which to call in. 

15 Minute Special Sets:  Conducted via conference call (862-799-9769).  Call in at your scheduled time.

Special Sets 30 Minutes or Longer/Non-Jury Trials:  Conducted via Zoom.  You will receive a specially-generated Zoom link prior to your hearing.  You may appear by video or using the call-in number (786-635-1003; enter the meeting ID).

*Please Note:  Special Sets/Non-Jury Trials needing longer than 60 minutes must be set by Chambers.  To do so, please contact Chambers with both parties to schedule a date and time.

Pre-Trials:  Conducted via Zoom.  Pre-Trials begin at 9am.  The Judge’s virtual courtroom ID is 954 243 9000.  Log in to Zoom and enter the ID number.  If calling in (786-635-1003), you DO NOT need a participant ID - press # when asked for the participant ID.  Pre-trials without proof of service will be taken off calendar.

  • Plaintiff’s Attorneys – Must forward hearing information to the opposing party and file hearing notice in the docket. Please email the JA at least two (2) days prior to pre-trials to advise what lawyer is appearing and how many cases will be going forward (include case numbers). Failure to email (2) days prior will result in your cases being heard at the end of the calendar.
  • Waivers/Orders Invoking Rules - Please file a stipulated waiver of appearance and Order Invoking the Rules of Civil Procedure in CourtMap at least two (2) days prior to waive your appearance at pre-trials.
  • Self Represented Litigants – Please sign up on the Florida Courts e-Filing Portal.  Video tutorials are available to help you with the registration process.  Include your email address for expedited receipt of information. On the day of your pretrial conference, please log into Zoom at 9:00 a.m. and wait for your case to be called.

Domestic Violence Hearings:  Conducted via Zoom.  You will receive a specially-generated Zoom link with a meeting ID and password for your hearing.  All parties and witnesses must appear by video.


Motions and Orders:  The Court does not receive electronic notice when motions are filed.  You must file an Order to CourtMap or set the motion for hearing to ensure notice to the Court.

Scheduling:  PIP cases and hearings needing more than 60 minutes must be scheduled internally.  Please contact Chambers with both parties to schedule.  All other cases can be scheduled through CourtMap on the motion or special set calendar with mutual agreement between parties.
Note:  If you are having difficulty getting in contact with opposing counsel to schedule, file a motion to the docket.  If problems persists, contact Chambers.

Mediation:  Mediations occur on Thursday mornings and afternoons.  Contact Chambers to schedule a date/time.  You will receive a Zoom link from the mediation department.

Motions are not to exceed five (5) minutes.  Notice of hearing and motion(s) MUST be filed with the Clerk.

Written notice to opposing counsel/parties shall be provided immediately after hearing is set by a party, along with a copy of the motion, prior to the scheduled hearing date.

Cancellations:  All cancellations are done internally.  If the parties have decided to cancel a hearing, please have the moving party file a notice of cancellation as well as emailing the notice to jhutson@jud11.flcourts.org and mmesa@jud11.flcourts.org.
