Both criminal misdemeanor and criminal traffic matters are addressed in the Division, in accordance with Judge Urbistondo’s schedule, which can be found at “Judge Urbistondo’s Division Calendar” in the Documents section of this page.  This schedule is subject to change with reasonable notice.  Please check this page for notices of change.

Criminal misdemeanor case numbers begin with the letter “M” or “B,” for example, M19-001234 or B20-009876, and the case style is “State of Florida v. [Defendant’s Name].”

Criminal traffic cases have a 7-character, alphanumerical number, which may begin with the letter “A,” for example, AB12CD3, and the case style is “State of Florida v. [Defendant’s Name].”

Some court proceedings continue to be held remotely through the virtual platform known as Zoom, while others have resumed in-person.  If you wish to attend Judge Urbistondo’s court proceedings in person, you are welcome to do so in Courtroom 6-5 of the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building, located at 1351 N.W. 12th Street, Miami, FL.  If you wish to attend Judge Urbistondo’s court proceedings through Zoom and have not otherwise been ordered to appear in person, you may do so by using Zoom ID 912-1118-1073.  Should you need more information on how to use Zoom, you can access Zoom Support at https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us.
