Juvenile Dependency and Termination of Parental Rights("TPR") Registry – There are three (3) separate categories for which an attorney may qualify. Additionally, a fourth (4) registry category has been added to include qualifications necessary for attorneys wishing to participate in the Children With Special Needs Registry. Attorneys must specify all categories for which they are applying. The Juvenile Dependency Screening Committee classifies, reclassifies, or declassifies attorneys on each Registry, and oversees programs and policies which will provide attorney-mentors to advise less experienced attorney on each Registry. Download the Attorney Qualifications Application for various categories.

Judicial Bypass/Parental Notification Registry - To qualify to be placed on the judicial bypass/parental notification registry, the following three requirements must be met: 1) An attorney must be on the Dependency or TPR Registry as the cases have to be accepted and attendance by an attorney must be made within 24 hours; 2) The attorney must read the relevant statute and familiarize themselves with the requirements; 3) The attorney must sign an affidavit attesting to the above two items.

All attorney applications must be submitted in duplicate to the Juvenile Dependency Screening Committee c/o Juvenile Clerk of Courts, attn.: Court Team B Supervisor. Applicants submitting the Qualifications letter and proof of completion of requirements to the 11th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Dependency Screening Committee may deposit them in the courtesy drop box located at the Office of the Clerk of Courts, at the Miami-Dade County Children’s Courthouse, 155 NW 3rd Street 3rd Floor, Miami, Florida 33128.
