Last week, our First Annual Eleventh Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Conference at the Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center brought together pro bono service providers, elected officials, and members of our legal community to expand access to pro bono legal services for members of our community.
The conference was organized by Judges Diana Gonzalez-Whyte and David Young, co-chairs of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit’s Pro Bono Committee.
Presentations, networking, and panel discussions focused on establishing connections between elected officials and pro bono service providers so that community leaders can direct residents to the appropriate resources when they need an attorney to resolve a legal matter, but don’t have the means to do so.
We are grateful to everyone who came together in a collaborative effort to make a meaningful difference in our community.
