June was a busy month at #TeamJud11!
We were honored to host judges from Albania’s Court of First Instance at the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse Center, where they met with Judges Elisabeth Espinosa Marin and Jorge Perez Santiago.
Judge Jason Dimitris welcomed students to observe live court proceedings, and he also welcomed students participating in Youth Governance Day Miami, where high school students were able to observe in his courtroom as they learned about local government, met with community leaders, and explored how civic engagement shapes our community.
The Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP), a national initiative that places law students with judges to gain firsthand exposure to the judicial process, also launched its Miami-Dade & Ft. Lauderdale orientation program at the Osvaldo N. Soto Justice Center where our judges joined as panelists.
