The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is under the leadership of the General Counsel, who is directly responsible to and serves at the pleasure of the Chief Judge.
OGC operates as a mid-sized law firm that provides effective and timely legal advice and counsel to the Chief Judge, the judiciary, the Trial Court Administrator, and the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) on all matters regarding the administration of justice. OGC is prohibited from providing legal advice to the public.
