IMPORTANT: If you are a defendant with a criminal or traffic case and have a court hearing today, it is important that you log on to Zoom now at https://zoom.us/j/99069643199 and enter meeting id: 99069643199. If you cannot log on to Zoom, call the Judge’s chambers now at 305-520-4267, to notify the court that you were present for your hearing.

 

Any hearings (of any type or duration), trials, and/or Small Claims pre-trials currently set for in-person shall remain in-person unless the division judge decides to move a scheduled event to Zoom and is able to notify the parties with the Zoom instructions without requiring the Clerk’s office to mail or re-issue a new notice.

    All mediations currently set for in-person shall remain in person.

ADD-ONS
No add-ons are permitted without prior consent of the Judge. Please Submit a letter with the Motion for approval via CourtMAP as Proposed Order.

 

       Please provide courtesy copies of the motion, all referenced exhibits, and any relevant legal authority seven (7) business days before the special set hearing through CourtMap. 

  • If the submission exceeds 50 pages, it may be delivered to the Chambers directly.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please fax all notice cancellations including the reason(s) for cancellation of hearings to 305-604-7887.
Cancellations are NOT ALLOWED within 48 hours before the hearing, unless a Motion for Continuance has been filed and a Proposed Order has been uploaded to courtMAP and approved, OR the parties have reached an agreement and an agreed order has been furnished to courtMAP prior to the hearing, OR a Voluntary Dismissal is being filed.

All notices of cancellation must have the reason and if the parties wish to continue the hearing within 5 days, they must file a Motion to Continue.   NOTE: Hearings set within one week of scheduled date, must have court permission to cancel, unless the matter is resolved.

Unilaterally Hearings 
A party may request to set a matter unilaterally only if reasonable attempts to reach the opposing party have been unsuccessful and the opposing party has been given reasonable opportunity to respond.
