ALERT- PLEASE READ- COVID-19 MITIGATION REQUIREMENT FOR DIVISION 08- DETAILS.

     Pursuant to authority granted to administrative judges under Administrative Order 21-11 A1 (IN RE: MODIFICATION OF COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND DIVISION OPERATIONS PLANS), the County Civil Division’s Operations Plan is hereby amended as reflected in Exhibit 1 beginning August 17, 2021 and shall remain in full force and effect through close of business January 28, 2022.

     Beginning January 31, 2022, the County Civil Division’s Operations Plan shall be amended as reflected in Exhibit 2 and shall remain in full force and effect until further notice.

     Any hearings (of any type or duration), trials, and/or Small Claims pre-trials currently set for in-person shall remain in-person unless the division judge decides to move a scheduled event to Zoom and is able to notify the parties with the Zoom instructions without requiring the Clerk’s office to mail or re-issue a new notice.
    All mediations currently set for in-person shall remain in person.  

If you resolve your matter, please cancel it in CourtMAP or, if you have no access to CourtMAP, by calling into chambers or emailing the Judge’s Judicial Assistant Sheila Phillips at sphillips@jud11.flcourts.org

Notice of Cancellation - Note: Hearing within one week of scheduled date will not be cancelled unless a Motion to Continue is filed and heard and/or the matter is resolved/dismissed.

5 Minute Motion Calendars are by zoom and held on Mondays and Tuesdays.  Zoom link notification will be sent to all parties listed on the service list in court.

  • Notices of cancellation including a reason(s) for cancellation shall be efiled and faxed to Chambers at (305) 604-7887 or emailed to Judicial Assistant a week prior to the scheduled hearing.  NOTE: Hearings within one week of scheduled date, will not be cancelled unless an agreed order is submitted and/or the matter is resolved/dismissed.
  • All motions to continue trial or strike trial dates, even if agreed, must be set on calendar.  Motions for continuance must indicate whether it is the first request for continuance.  If it is not, the number and date of prior continuance(s) must be included in the motion.
  • MOTION TO DISMISS, MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT AND MOTION FOR FINAL JUDGEMENT MOTION TO STRIKE PROPOSAL FOR SETTLEMENTS WILL NOT BE HEARD ON THE MOTION CALENDAR.
  • Unilaterally Hearings:  To request for a case to be unilaterally heard, please submit motion to chambers and include all parties on email.  Motion can be emailed to sphillips@jud11.flcourts.org
