COURT PROCEDURES:
Filing Deadlines:
All motions, responses, replies, and related pleadings must be filed at least 10 days prior to the scheduled hearing.
Mediation proceedings:
Mediation will be conducted in a manner agreed to by the parties or in accordance with Mediators policies or procedures. No need for motions or proposed orders. If parties cannot agree on the method of mediation, then there is a presumption that it will be set in person.

NOTES:
1. ALL Orders MUST be submitted in WORD format on the courtMAP pre-generated blank Order form and must be accompanied with a motion and supporting documents or a letter of explanation.
2. ALL Orders MUST be titled in the block marked “Generic Order – You must rename the Order Title”
3. Orders must contain all information required (i.e., no blanks shall be left), OR case must be submitted on motion calendar.

MOTION CALENDAR for Division 1 is conducted via Zoom every Monday and Tuesday at 1:30 PM.
Please note: Certain Motion Calendar hearings may be held in person. Kindly refer to courtMAP for specific details

ZOOM meeting ID is created for every hearing. The meeting ID is sent out the week prior to the hearing date.
**NOTE: You must mute yourself on any Zoom hearings unless you are asked to speak. Video appearance is required for ALL participant for the hearing.
Motion calendar hearings are limited to 5 minutes per case; the Court will hear no more than two motions per case during motion calendar.
*DO NOT create multiple events (set multiple hearings) for any one case.
SETTING A HEARING:
Review the Motion Calendar Availability found on the CourtMap System. The moving party MUST coordinate date & time with opposing party. You MUST attach your supporting documents (filed motion, etc.) when creating the event (setting the hearing) on CourtMap. Once a green "Success" message appears, the hearing has made calendar.
*The movant MUST e-file the notice of hearing. Please indicate the name of the person the hearing was coordinated with and the date motion was e-filed.
IMPORTANT: Although the movant and the other parties listed on the service list will receive an email indicating that a hearing has been set, a notice of hearing will NOT be automatically generated.

CANCELLATIONS:
Only the party who scheduled a motion calendar hearing may cancel it. Please e-file a notice of cancellation and cancel the hearing on courtMAP.
To do this, click on: -calendar, -view events, -select the case, -click case status ready, -click cancel from the dropdown, -click save, -select cancellation reason, -click confirm cancellation.
**NOTE: If the parties reach an agreement prior to the hearing, you may upload an agreed order for the motion on CourtMAP. You must notify chambers through e-mail with all parties copied. Send e-mails to
E-FILING: Matters that are only E-filed WILL NOT automatically be set on motion calendar. E-filing is for documents to be filed electronically with the Clerk's Office. CourtMap is used to set hearings or submit orders for review & approval.
JURY TRIAL NOTICES PROCEDURE:
You must e-file your Notice for Trial with the Clerk's office, then fax a courtesy copy to chambers at 305-349-7093. Please indicate on your Notice for trial if the case has been mediated.
On the service list you MUST include all parties(email addresses) to the case to assure proper delivery of Trial Order via CourtMap.
If a party to the case does not have an email address, the Plaintiff is hereby directed to notify all parties by U.S. Postal regular mail.
**NOTE: Mediation MUST be complied prior to Calendar Call.

1. Service List Requirements:
When submitting orders, you must include physical mailing addresses for any party who has not provided an email address.
2.Do Not Resubmit Orders:
- DO NOT submit proposed orders more than once.
- Once submitted, the order will remain in “Pending” status until it is either entered or rejected by the Court.
**DO NOT mail them to Chambers.
3. Requirements for Proposed Orders on courtMAP:
- All proposed orders must be
submitted in Word format using the pre-generated blank order form on courtMAP.
- Each submission must be accompanied
by the corresponding motion and all supporting documents or a letter of
explanation.
- Note: courtMAP automatically
populates the case style, order title, judge’s signature block, and the
"Done and Ordered" language.
4. Submitting Orders Related to Hearings:
- Do not submit a proposed order prior
to a scheduled hearing, unless the motion has been resolved by agreement and an Agreed Order is being submitted.
5. E-Filing Requirement:
- If the motion attached to the
proposed order has not been e-filed or docketed by the Clerk’s Office, the
Proposed Order will be rejected.

SPECIAL SET CALENDAR for Division CC 01 is held in PERSON in Courtroom 3-2 (until further notice)
SPECIAL SET HEARING PROCEDURES:
1. All Motions MUST be filed with the Clerk of Courts prior to requesting a Special Set hearing.
2.To coordinate a hearing, PLEASE confer with opposing counsel or self represented litigant, once a date has been coordinated, please schedule via CourtMAP.
*The movant MUST e-file the notice of hearing (once approval by the COURT). Please indicate the name of the person the hearing was coordinated with and the date motion was e-filed.
3. Special set hearings are NOT scheduled until they are approved by the Court. Once the Court has approved the proposed hearing date, the parties will receive an automated email indicating same. The parties will also be served with a notice of hearing which will be automatically e-filed.
*If the proposed notice is rejected, the parties will receive a message along with the reason for the rejection.
To confirm a special set hearing:
All parties may confirm hearings by selecting calendar, events by case number (entering the case number), and clicking on the magnifying glass. A list of all upcoming hearings on the case searched will appear. Hearings that appear in green or "ready" are confirmed. Hearings that appear in gray or "cancelled" are not set.
ADD-ONS:
No add-ons are permitted without prior consent of the Judge.
CANCELLATIONS:
Special Set hearings shall not be canceled without leave of court, unless all issues framed by the motion(s) have been fully resolved or the case has settled.
IF CASE HAS SETTLED :
you may also file a Notice of Settlement BUT in order to cancel the hearing an ORDER OF DISMISSAL (you may reserve on fees, etc…if needed) MUST BE SUBMITTED via CourtMap for Court approval. The hearing is not cancelled until it is approved by the Court..
TELEPHONIC APPEARANCE:
A motion for telephonic appearance MUST be submitted through CourtMap along with an order for Judge's approval. The Motion must include the reason for the request & a phone number where the attorney will be standing by and can be reached immediately by the Court when the hearing is ready to be heard.
Special Sets for more than 45- MINTUES
If you would like to request a Special Set hearing that is more than 45- MINTUES, please send an email to the Judicial Assistant at LPERNAS@JUD11. FLCOURTS.ORG with all parties copied. Please ensure the motion is attached, any supporting documents, the amount of time you are seeking, and the reason for seeking that amount of time.
