Important: Any movant scheduling and noticing a hearing (Motion Calendar and Special Set) before this Court must meet and confer with opposing counsel in order to attempt to resolve any and all issues possible. Unilateral setting of hearings is not permitted.
Most court proceedings will continue to take place remotely via Zoom. Trials and Evidentiary hearings will take place in Courtroom 15-1 of the Dade County Courthouse.
Important Notices Re: Zoom Meeting ID and Submission of Original Notes
Zoom Meeting ID: Seven (7) days prior to the scheduled hearing, you will receive an email from courtMAP with the information that will allow you to appear remotely via Zoom.
Submission of Original Note/Loan Documents: Do not file or deliver original loan documents until Judge Simon specifically instructs you to do so. If motion is granted or mortgagee prevails at trial, the Final Judgment is to be uploaded via courtMAP and the Original Note/Loan Documents are to be delivered to Judge Simon's Chambers, Dade County Courthouse, Room 1500. Use delivery with tracking.

Mandatory Case Management Procedures
compliance with Florida Supreme Court Administrative Order 20-23A12 and the
11th Judicial Circuit Administrative Order 21-09, lawyers and litigants are
required to follow the procedures outlined below:
For cases filed before April 30, 2021, you must submit Case
Management Report and Case Management Order via courtMAP under Proposed Orders.
For cases filed on or after April 30, 2021, the Court will
issue a Case Management Order with prescribed timelines.

MOTION CALENDAR HEARING TIME MAY VARY DUE TO TRIAL SCHEDULES. PLEASE CHECK COURTMAP FOR AVAILABILITY AND INCLUDE THE CORRECT TIME (9:00 A.M. OR 9:30 A.M.) ON THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
Motion Calendar Days/Time/Location: Tuesdays &
Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. remotely via Zoom. Motion Calendar hearings are limited
to 5 minutes per case. The courtMap system only allows two (2)
motions per case. In order for a second motion to be heard on the case by either side, the moving party must schedule a separate event in courtMAP. Cross-Notices of a Motion may only be allowed if it is mutually coordinated and if a separate court event is created subject to the two (2) motion limit.
To Make Calendar: Select available date and time
via courtMap. The filed motion(s) and all documents in
support must be attached when the hearing is scheduled. Once a green
"Success" message appears, the hearing has made calendar. You
must still prepare, file, and serve a Notice of Hearing.
Responses: Submit the filed Response, if any, via courtMap to the "Motion Calendar" case
number and hearing date, seven (7) business days prior to the hearing date.
Cancellations: Unless both parties have agreed to the Cancellation, Cancellations are not allowed within 24
hours before the hearing. The party that noticed the hearing may cancel via courtMap after it files its Notice of
Cancellation and e-mails a courtesy copy of the Notice of Cancellation to the Judicial Assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please be aware that certain items are prohibited on courthouse premises. If any listed prohibited item is detected to be in your possession when entering a court facility, you will be asked to exit the facility to secure the item elsewhere or dispose of it, before being allowed entry into the facility.
